Reimbursement Funds

Crisis Assessment Prevention Intervention Services (CAPIS)

Individuals who have a developmental disability, their families and caregivers are eligible. Developmental disabilities may include an intellectual/developmental disability (IDD), cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, and neurological impairments.

When an individual is referred to the CAPIS program a wraparound plan to support them is created by staff in conjunction with the support team.  The services provided vary by individual circumstance and can include: 

  • 24 -hour telephone crisis intervention 
  • Assistance in connecting with appropriate services or programs 
  • Advocacy and follow-up: help make phone calls, attend meetings, assist with Social Services, Social Security. 
  • Short term crisis counseling 
  • Private meetings with a behaviorist or social worker 
  • Assistance in understanding and managing difficult behavior 
  • Support for family members 
  • Parent support groups 
  • Educational seminars 
  • Parent training 
  • Conferences 
  • Information and referral 
  • Linkage to programs/services 
  • Lending library
  • Fiscal assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families for goods and services or reimbursement for recent expenditures not otherwise within the family budget. The program Advocacy, information and linkage related to fiscal issues. 

Access To Money Reimbursement Program (ATM) 

ATM provides fiscal assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families for goods and services or reimbursement for recent expenditures not otherwise within the family budget. Advocacy, information and linkage related to fiscal issues.

Evie Klingner Memorial Camp Scholarship Fund 

This fund is for individuals with developmental disabilities living with their families in Orange County. This fund will provide a scholarship of $250 towards the camp fee for individuals who meet fund criteria and submit an application with camp information and amount due. Funding is Limited.
